Allegiant Air is undergoing a major network expansion starting this November. With 24 new routes and two new destinations, Allegiant Air is going toe-to-toe with some of the largest low-cost carriers in the United States for leisure passengers. Here is a look at the carrier’s massive expansion.
24 new routes
The new routes a combination of year-round service and seasonal service. Of course, this depends entirely on the destination. In terms of destinations, Florida seems to be the lucky winner with most of the new routes. Here is a map of all the new routes:
All of the flights, except between Las Vegas and Fort Collins, will operate twice weekly.
Palm Beach
Palm Beach is a new destination for Allegiant Air. And, to celebrate the occasion, Palm Beach International Airport will see six new routes to the following destinations:
- Pittsburgh International Airport
- Concord-Padgett Regional Airport (serving Charlotte, North Carolina with airport code USA)
- McGhee Tyson Airport (serving Knoxville, Tennessee)
- Indianapolis International Airport
- Asheville Regional Airport (serving Asheville, North Carolina)
- Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport
Most routes have fares as low as $54 one-way on select dates if purchased by August 14th, 2019.
Fort Collins
Fort Collins, Colorado is served by Northern Colorado Regional Airport. However, Fort Collins will only be connected to major western cities. This includes Las Vegas McCarran International Airport and Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport. Mesa (AZA) is the secondary airport in Phoenix. Phoenix Sky Harbor (PHX) is not served by Allegiant Air. This is because, like other low-cost carriers, Allegiant operates to secondary airports with lower operating costs. While Phoenix will see twice-weekly service, Las Vegas and Fort Collins will have four weekly flights between them.
Las Vegas is a major tourist destination. Plenty of airlines have launched new services to the city. And, Allegiant Air operates many routes out of the city. In fact, Allegiant has a stadium in Las Vegas named after them.

Seasonal services from Punta Gorda, Florida to:

- Sioux Falls, South Dakota
Seasonal services from Sarasota, Florida to:
- St. Louis, Missouri
- Des Moines, Iowa
- Rockford, Illinois
- Flint, Michigan
- Fort Wayne, Indiana
- Louisville, Kentucky
- South Bend, Indiana
Seasonal services from Arizona:
- Phoenix to Bentonville, Arkansas
- Tucson to Indianapolis
Overall
For those looking at low-cost travel to leisure destinations in Florida, this new expansion is fantastic. Allegiant Air, previously rattled by maintenance issues, is now operating a fleet consisting entirely of Airbus A320 family aircraft.
